If you're a Genesys customer and want to activate and access your instance via AWS, here’s a step-by-step guide.

Genesys Cloud runs on AWS infrastructure globally, ensuring high availability and scalability. When you subscribe to Genesys Cloud, your instance is hosted in a specific AWS region based on your location or preference.

Activating Your Genesys Cloud Instance on AWS

Step 1: Subscription & Account Setup

  • Sign up for a Genesys Cloud account via their official site.
  • Choose the appropriate subscription plan (e.g., Genesys Cloud CX).
  • During signup, select your AWS-hosted region for optimal performance.
  • Once your account is set up, Genesys automatically provisions an instance in your chosen AWS region.

Step 2: Accessing Your Genesys Cloud Instance via AWS PrivateLink (For Secure Connections)

Setup AWS PrivateLink to securely access Genesys Cloud without exposing traffic to the public Internet

  • Contact Genesys Support to request PrivateLink enablement.
  • Configure an AWS VPC Endpoint to connect to Genesys Cloud privately.
  • Configure SIP trunks (If Using Voice Services) to connect your Genesys instance with AWS-based VoIP services or on-premise phone systems.
