All NL-ix locations are seamlessly interconnected over our low-latency European fabric, offering coast-to-coast premium Pan European interconnection

London

London provides access to one of Europe’s most active interconnection environments, with a strong concentration of networks, cloud providers and content platforms.

Within the NL-ix platform, London is tightly integrated into the backbone and connected to other core metros through multiple high-capacity routes. Connectivity to the European mainland is delivered via 4 × 400G subsea links: 2 × 400G to Amsterdam, 1 × 400G to Brussels (with onward connectivity to Frankfurt), and 1 × 400G to Paris. This setup ensures built-in resilience and efficient paths into the wider European ecosystem.

London-map

Recent upgrades have further increased backbone capacity in London, supporting continued growth across all NL-ix services while maintaining low-latency performance.

As part of a distributed interconnection model, London is not a standalone exchange. Networks connected in London can seamlessly reach other NL-ix metros without the need to manage inter-metro transport themselves, while maintaining full control over how and where traffic is exchanged.

This combination of dense connectivity, integrated transport and high-capacity subsea links makes London a strong entry point into the NL-ix platform with an RTD from London to Amsterdam of just 5.4 milliseconds and Paris of just 7.1 milliseconds.
