Peering without being limited by location
Traditionally, connecting to an Internet Exchange often means being present at a specific data centre or travelling to a major interconnection hub.
A distributed Internet Exchange works differently.
With NL-ix, the exchange itself is distributed across Europe. Once connected to the NL-ix peering platform through IELO, networks can exchange traffic with other connected networks across the NL-ix footprint.
