Packages

NL-ix offers Peering and Transit packages: bundles of solutions at a flat-rate, all-in price:

Peering packages: Offer 100% Netherlands coverage and include an NL-ix OnePort™, NL Routing and optionally AMS-IX access.
Transit packages: Offer Global Transit with 100% Global coverage, but also include NL Routing.
Transit&Peering packages: Offer Global Transit and include a peering package and optionally AMS-IX access.

Packages are cost efficient, flat rate, all-in-one and offer a choice in 100% Netherlands (peering) or 100% Global (transit) coverage. All packages offer optional AMS-IX access.

Peering packages

The Peering packages of NL-ix provide 100% coverage of all Dutch Internet destinations, and full access to all peering possibilities NL-ix offers. They are flat rate solutions on 100 Mbit/s or 1 Gbit/s ports and allow unlimited traffic usage.

Essential™ Peering

Essential™ is the fundamental Peering package, offering 100% NL coverage at the lowest possible price. The package includes:

A NL-ix OnePort™;
Access to NL-ix Public Peering including:
- Enables setting up Bilateral Peerings;
- Access to the NL-ix Route Servers;
- Access to all Multilateral Peering (MLPA) routes;
NL Routing offering 100% NL coverage.

Authoritative™ Peering

The Authoritative™ Peering package is identical to the Essential™ Peering package, but adds unlimited access to the AMS-IX. The package includes:

All features of the Essential™ Peering package;
Access to AMS-IX Public Peering including:
- Enables setting up Bilateral Peerings on AMS-IX;
- Access to the AMS-IX Route Servers.

Transit Packages

The Transit packages of NL-ix provide 100% global coverage in cooperation with Joint Transit and KPN Wholesale AS286. They are flat rate solutions on 100 Mbit/s or 1 Gbit/s ports and allow unlimited traffic usage.

Crucial™ Transit

Crucial Transit is the fundamental Transit package, delivered over a dedicated NL-ix Metro Ethernet Dual Line, offering 100% global coverage, but not taking advantage of NL-ix Public Peering. The package includes:

A dedicated MetroPort™;
A dedicated EtherRing to the Joint Transit routers;
The Global Transit offering 100% global coverage;
NL Routing offering 100% NL coverage. kkkk

AS286 Access™ Transit

KPN Wholesale AS286Transit KPN Wholesale AS286 Transit is a top level Transit package, delivered over a dedicated NL-ix Metro Ethernet Line offering 100% high quality global coverage. The package includes:

A dedicated MetroPort™;
A dedicated EtherLine to the KPN Wholesale AS286 Transit router;
The Global Transit offering 100% global coverage.

Transit & Peering Packages

The Transit & Peering packages of NL-ix provide 100% global coverage in cooperation with Joint Transit, in combination with full access to all peering possibilities NL-ix and optionally AMS-IX offer. They are flat rate solutions on 100 Mbit/s or 1 Gbit/s ports and allow unlimited traffic usage.

Indispensable™ Transit

The Indispensable ™ Transit package is identical to the Essential™ Peering package, but adds Global Transit and 100% Global coverage. The package includes:

A NL-ix OnePort™;
Access to NL-ix Public Peering including:
- Enables setting up Bilateral Peerings;
- Access to the NL-ix Route Servers;
- Access to all Multilateral Peering (MLPA) routes;
NL Routing offering 100% NL coverage.
The Global Transit offering 100% global coverage.

Imperative™ Transit

The Imperative™ Transit package is identical to the Indispensable™ Transit package, but then with a mix of full port speed NL access (NL-ix, NL Routing) and fractional speed Global routing. Such a mix reduces costs and gives maximum NL performance and is especially usefull for parties with high NL ratio in the NL:Global ratio.

Treasure™ Transit

The Treasure™ Transit package is identical to the Indispensable™ Transit Package, but adds unlimited access to the AMS-IX. The package includes:

All features of the Indispensable™ Transit package;
Access to AMS-IX Public Peering including:
- Enables setting up Bilateral Peerings on AMS-IX;
- Access to the AMS-IX Route Servers.

Vital™ Transit

The Vital™ Transit package is identical to the Treasure™ Transit package, but then with a mix of full port speed NL access (NL-ix, NL Routing, AMS-IX) and fractional speed Global routing. Such a mix reduces costs and gives maximum NL performance and is especially usefull for parties with high NL ratio in the NL:Global ratio.

OnePort™ concept
As almost all of our solutions, the NL-ix Packages are delivered via the NL-ix OnePort™. This port is the basic product for all NL-ix Peering and Community solutions and can also be used in combination with the NL-ix Metro Ethernet solutions.

By purchasing an NL-ix Port, most of the Peering and Community services become available for free, and/or additional Metro-Ethernet services will be much cheaper. Port speeds of 100 Mbit/s, 1.000 Mbit/s and 10 Gbit/s can be provided.
