As part of the current massive network upgrade, in which NL-ix migra- ted to state-of-the-art Brocade MLX switches in the majority of its 43 datacenters, NL-ix recently launched ‘Metro MPLS’ as an interesting new option in its regional and nationwide transmission portfolio.

Compared with our traditional ‘Metro Ethernet’ services, the new ‘Metro MPLS’ offers transparent ethernet (e.g.: dot1.q, unlimited mac’s) with more redundancy, and less restrictions.

Moreover, compared with our popular ‘Metro Wave’ services, the new ‘Metro MPLS’ will not only be more redundant, but may also be delivered much faster and much more flexible.
