NL-ix expands its managed WAVE portfolio
About a year ago, nL-ix introduced its new Managed Wavelenght Portfolio, as the fully transparent alternative for its traditional cityLan ethernet, and the more simple alternative for its Dark Fiber products. over the last year, the interest of our customers for this product did grow so rapidly that we recently expanded the amount of ´Wave-capable´ POP´s to already 15 Datacenters, and can now deliver on 100 Mb, 1 gb and 10 gb speeds, all interfacing on shorthaul lasers (1 & 10 Gb), or even on copper (100 Mb).
Compared with our CityLAN´s, these Managed Waves may have advantages with respect to ´Layer2 transparency´ and ´used mac-addresses´.
Compared with our fibers, the Waves may avoid worries on expensive long-distance lasers and/or repeaters. please contact sales@nl-ix.net for more information.
