Procedure

To Join NL-ix, please download, print, fill in, sign and send these PDF documents orderform.pdf and connectionagreement.pdf to:

When we receive the order form and connection agreement we will co-sign them and return one copy to you. Further we will contact you and provide you with all technical details you need.

Products and Prices

You can find the price for standard NL-ix ports and all other products and prices including VLAN's on our products page.

Before joining NL-ix you will need your own Autonomous System (AS) number. You can get such a number from your (future) transit provider or directly from RIPE by becoming RIPE member. Please contact us for details. Further you will have to be a legal entity ofcourse.

Lead time

Connections can be realized within 10 working days.

Connection types

100 Mbit/s connections are delivered on a UTP port (RJ45 connector).
1.000 Mbit/s connections are delivered on a multimode (850 nm) fiber (LC or SC/PC connector).
10 Gbit/s connections are delivered on a singlemode fiber (SC/PC connector). On the Nikhef, SARA and Telecity datacenters wavelength LR/1310 nm is used, on al other datacenters ER/1550 nm.
